Fantastic experience renting with this company!! They have a great range of vans and they’re really reasonably priced. Graham and co are so kind and helpful. They take the time to get to know you, the route you’re planning, and are happy to help with any advice. As they’re a smaller company you have more of a personalised experience which was important to us. We had the standard hi-top van - it has everything you need, and I was very pleasantly surprised with how comfy the bed was! They were really fair to us when they needed to charge for something we broke, which was very much appreciated! We would highly recommend campa south to anyone looking to rent in NZ!
We had an amazing 2 weeks travelling across the south island with the premium deluxe motorhome, it was our first experience in a campervan and we absolutely loved it.Susan and Graham were extremely kind, they picked us up from the airport hotel we were staying at, and gave us all the recommendations to have a great experience. We absolutely recommend them!
We had an amazing stay for 3 and half weeks with the Toyota Hiace 2002 Hi Top!Susan and Graham gave us a perfect introduction, are very organized and lovely people! They offered us to pick it up in Auckland, where we got warmly welcomed at the airport by Kurt.After traveling north and south we ended up in Christchurch, where we returned the van at Susan&Graham’s location.Very easy and fast return process including transfer to airport.Definitely recommend this route as you only need 1 ferry and spend more time on the islands.Highly recommend Camps South Rentals!They give you the best conditions for your van journey in NZ!
We definitely recommend Campa South. Our campervan was fully equipped, well finished and reliable. This makes you feel that you are safe on the road. In addition, the lines of communication with Susan and Graham are short and they responded quickly to our questions. We had a wonderful trip through New Zealand!
Highly recommended!We rented a camper van for 5 weeks which we could pick up in Auckland and return in Christchurch.Graham and Susan are amazing and warm people, it felt more like burrowing a camper van from good friends.We could always reach them via WhatsApp if there was any problem and also before we came to New Zealand, Susan answered all our questions very quickly and provided everything we needed for an amazing journey.The camper van we rented was a little older, but it honestly had the best value for money you can find.Thanks again for this awesome time 🙏

Renting from Graham and Susan at Campa South was easy. Graham picked us up from the airport and Susan dropped us off. In between they provided clear and invaluable information about the van and our trip. The van itself was well equipped and handled the “different roads” of New Zealand easily. We had a great two weeks (Camper Mate was an invaluable app also) and would highly recommend renting from Campa South and believe they gave us the service and attention we may not have received from a larger company.
We had excellent service from Campa South Rentals. At our pick up Graham gave us all the information we needed and took the time to show us around the van explaining how it worked. He even gifted my little boy some lovely biscuits for the trip which went down very well! The van was perfect for us reliable, well maintained and the perfect size for 3 people. On return Graham kindly dropped us near the airport so that we could pick up our next car hire. All in all a great family business - highly recommend.
Not knowing much about the various options and costs for a well outfitted van, we got lucky with Campa South, as their price was not only competitive, but was all inclusive. Over the course of our trip, we asked around about what some of the others were getting for how much, and we definately got great value. The service was fantastic, and the tidbits of local knowledge, particularly what to watch for weather wise, were invaluable. We were set up with a dependable, clean van that included all we needed. Two thumbs up!!!
